Rossette emphasis on a combination of craftsmanship and creative standards, therefore exceptional jewellery calls for exceptional care. There are simple things we can all do at home to help your jewellery look its best and last (almost) forever.

To keep your jewellery fabulous and fresh, here’s a guide to care for your jewellery:

Wear with Care

THE GOLDEN RULE: Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on – after skincare, perfume, hairspray and other chemical substances that can dull & discolour the stones and metal – and the first thing to take off when you reached home from events/functions.

Secure your Precious

ALWAYS store jewellery separately, in a cool, dry place – preferably in the same box the jewellery comes with – away from sunlight. Just as the sun’s harmful ray can damage our skin, light and heat can affect a coloured gemstone’s durability and colour.

Gentle Cleaning

REMEMBER TO USE a non-abrasive cloth when cleaning your jewellery. Don’t use a chemical cleaner as they could discolour the surface and cause damage. Clean regularly to avoid tarnish build up.

Beware of Contamination

DO NOT wear your ring(s) while washing your hands with soap or applying lotion. The soap and lotion will build up and cause the stone to be less shiny.

Protect Your Investment

MAKE SURE to have your jewellery checked by a local jeweller every three to six months to address any signs of damage or loose gemstones to keep your pieces in excellent shape for years.

Know When to Take Off Your Jewellery

ALWAYS take off all jewellery prior showering, swimming, spa or going to bed. Shampoo and conditioner can get stuck behind mountings and steam can loosen the glue that holds pieces together. Salt water and chlorine can damage and discolour metals and can erode the polishing finish of gemstones. Certain minerals used in spas can also tarnish your jewellery. Your blanket can catch onto the prongs and break them off. Contact with a wall or hard material can damage the ring.
